This was one of the slides at an event I attended last night. Everyone spoke Chinese, and the speaker gave a lecture for more than an hour about motivating yourself, and then he went on to talk about making money selling Life Insurance which I was not interested in, but great speaker! Here is the contents of the slide:
WHO AM I? 我是谁?
Questions:
- Am I pleasing? 我是一个开心的和让人开心的人吗?
- Do I have purpose? 我有人生目标吗?
- Am I ambitious? 我是非常想成功吗?
- Am I educated? 我有良好的教育吗?
- Am I disciplined enough? 我有严格的纪律性吗?
And these are basically some questions that you can ask yourself as you assess who you are in relation to who you want to be. I feel like before making some sales calls this is something I might want to run through to boost my current confidence and imagine the sales I can make in the future by being ambitious, disciplined and have a sense of purpose.
I told him that sometimes I can feel under motivated to make the sales calls that I know would likely bring more business, and he told me what I have also heard from people like Tony Robbins. I should ask myself what the consequences would be if I don’t move forward. And after some thinking like this, I am feeling much more motivated!
