Facebook Group Hijacked

I had been helping a Group from Facebook build a website. They had spent some months building their group only to have it hijacked. Here is a summary:

  1. All groups are formed by a person, so the first person to start it we call the "original administrator".
  2. The original administrator can then assign new admins to the group to help with things like moderation and adding members.
  3. Facebook states in their FAQ that the original administrator can never be removed.
  4. What happened next was on of the other admins (not the original) got their Facebook account hacked.
  5. The hacker went in and assigned a new person as administrator, and deleted the other administrators, INCLUDING the original which Facebook states cannot be removed.
  6. The hackers now control the group and it is next to impossible to contact Facebook.
So unfortunate for the people that worked so hard. It is a political group, and some extremists have taken over (really strange folks). If you have any suggestions, I hope you will click on the comments. We are trying to get in touch with Facebook through a bug report or otherwise.
