The two teach Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Zydeco, Blues, Collegiate Shag, Charleston, and Authentic Jazz Dance (Big Apple, Shim Sham, etc) among other things. They teach at all levels and in many forums including weekly group classes, private lessons and special workshops (around the eastern U.S.). Focusing on community building, they also promote swing dancing through other avenues, including DJ shows, events with live bands, participation in competitions, and the sponsoring of guest instructors for special workshops. Joel also leads a group of instructors who offer the same services in the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro/Winston-Salem) of North Carolina. |
